Coach WIll Hennegan - Head Coach
Blessed father of four kids & one grandchild.
I am passionate about working with todays youth to mentor & give back to the community.
Focus on teaching the fundimentals of basketball and partnering to ensure academics are always the priority for success.
Focused to follow where god leads & an active youth leader at GGDM.
FPSA is the culmination of a life long dream to empart key life principals to help guide todays athlete.
Clifton Brown - Basketball
Sports have been the focal point of my whole life, especially the game of Basketball. Because of this, I learned hard work, dedication and the tools needed to be successful in the journey of life.
I am excited and thrilled to be joining the United Community School family as a first year coach. I look forward to bringing my high enthusiasm to the team and helping the student athletes grow and develop.
I’m currently a Bank Manager for Fifth Third Bank. I am a proud father to two beautiful daughters. I hail from Mount Vernon, New York but have been in the Charlotte,NC area for 10+ years now.
Tassy Mason - JV Basketball
I was born and raised in Sacaramento, CA where I first learned about my love for the game, I was six. I have been playing ever since. I started training kids in high schoo, and I look forward to being able to share what I know and the love of the game with the student athletes at UCS.
This will be my third year coaching at UCS and I know we will have a great season!
I am an EC teacher & have been in the education field for over 10 years. It is a privilege and honor to work with today's youth in & out of the classroom!
Lastly, I am a mother of one son & bonus daughter who are both student atheletes!

Coach Kuran Rudd - Flag Football
I have played football, basketball, and track from middle school tthrough high school.
I Played a year of collegiate basketball in college in Penn State MA.
Won intramural football and basketball championships in college. I have competed in numerous community leagues in hometown of Philadelphia and tutored student athletes and assistant coach of AAU youth basketball team.
I too am the proud father of two boys and welcomed our daughter this past year. Our sons attend UCS.
Coach Therka - Volleyball
I’m Threka aka Coach T! Native of Charlotte, NC born and raised.
I’m a proud mother of a Dean’s List & two time recipient of the DII Athletic Directors Association Achievement Award, SAC commissioners Honors Roll student athlete, Kobe, at Tusculum University. Volleyball has been one of the many sports.
I have been playing organized volleyball since the 10th grade, where I attended (former) ZBVance High school.
After high school, I’ve played in different women and coed volleyball leagues.The last 10 seasons, my teams have won numerous games and 4+ championships.

Sylvia Ruiz-Perez - Volleyball
Ms. Ruiz originates from Puerto Rico and supports UCS kindergarten class. Ms.Ruiz was once a Volleyball player herself while attending school in Luquillo PR with years of experience on the court.
She brings the passion and love,
evidence based teaching practices from her career as an educator to her experience in the sport. With this experience she hopes to lead the UCS swarm to VICTORY!!!
